We are a boutique interior design studio founded with the vision to bring the foundation and experience of big brands to emerging brands and assist in their development. Through storytelling and an operational focus, we translate your brand's identity into engaging interior experiences to propel your business forward. 

Lais Brito, RID, NCIDQ

Founder & Creative Director

Lais founded Lais Brito Design to combine her technical and creative backgrounds into an improved client experience. She brings over a decade of experience in hospitality design and a hands-on approach to every project. 

Having designed and led the development of iconic Starbucks locations, like Universal CityWalk Orlando, Lais is adept at defining brand identities through design.

She holds a BSc degree in Interior Design from Florida State University and is certified in Hotel Planning and Design from Cornell University. As a Florida Registered Interior Designer and NCIDQ certified, she has the strong technical background required to bring designs to life.

Born in Brazil, raised in the United States, and having immersed herself in cultures across Europe and Asia, Lais has enriched her design philosophy with a global perspective. When she's not transforming clients' passion brands into unforgettable interiors, you'll find her on an adventure across the globe, be it paragliding in the Swiss Alps or learning to surf in the Philippines.

Our Approach

1 Discovery

Every project begins with a discovery workshop, a process that’s essential to getting it right. We’ll uncover and gain insights into your story and requirements to create the strategy and direction that will guide us.

2 Design

Next, we let our ideas run wild! We'll define the flow of the space, create design concepts, study different ideas, and create visuals so you can start seeing your space.

3 Development

With a design concept in-hand, we'll refine the design from an idea to a plan to bring it to life. We work out the functionality and technical requirements, select the materials and FF&E, and create the construction documentation.

4 Execution

This is our favorite part! You’ll get to step into the world we’ve envisioned! We’ll procure and manage the installation of all FF&E while overseeing the construction to ensure the space is executed as designed. Most importantly, we celebrate your successful opening!

  • We work with your architect to provide essential interior expertise to mold the building to suit the uses of the interior spaces. This multi-discipline approach to building design is best done while your architect is still defining the building - this is when we can still influence interior space planning and create key design features in the architecture while avoiding costly changes or awkward spaces down the line.
